Delete your Meta connection data

TLDR: The Companio Meta app connects two products: Companio and CarouselForge. Companio has an in-app disconnect; CarouselForge does not. Revoking access in Facebook stops access at Meta, but is not the same as deleting stored data. For either product, email support@companio.ai.

How to request deletion

1. As a workspace admin, open Console → Connections → Disconnect Meta.
2. Or email support@companio.ai from your Companio account email. Name the workspace and Meta ad account. Say whether you want connection-data deletion or a wider account-data request. We verify requests before acting.
3. For Hindsight memory deletion too, explicitly include all retained memories, full chat transcripts, summaries, notes and knowledge-file content in your request.

What disconnect deletes, and when

A successful disconnect of an existing connection clears live and staged access-token credentials immediately. If you see a disconnect error, retry; do not assume credentials were cleared. During the same request, Companio attempts to delete:

• Daily ad performance snapshots and imported historical Meta performance.
• Ad inventory, budget observations and activity-history evidence.
• Creative records, ad-to-creative links, creative tags and tag events.
• Pull-history ledgers, refresh requests, API usage and maintenance records.
• The connected account’s imported Goodness Lover Hyros attribution and lifetime-value totals, where present.

If cleanup fails, a durable deletion request stays queued for worker retries. There is no guaranteed maximum completion time. Ask support for confirmation if needed.

What disconnect does not delete

• The connection record: Meta user ID, account details, permissions and status; and a minimal deletion-request record used to reject delayed writes.
• Media-buyer limits and their change history, runs and recommendations, independent checks, approvals in the Desk or Telegram, overrides, launch windows, executions, holds and cooldowns.
• Ad decisions, staged plans, write consents, write approvals, execution events and transport safety records. These can include Page/Instagram post and account identifiers, ad IDs, amounts, reasons and evidence.
• Decision settings, exported ad batches, generated-ad proposals/bindings, campaign working notes, chats, run records, files and published pages.
• Desk source runs and facts are marked non-current, not immediately erased. Worker cleanup prunes non-current completed runs older than 30 days and their facts. Saved Desk letters and local browser copies are separate; clear the site’s browser data to remove local copies.
• Hindsight’s retained memories, including personal chat transcripts and notes and team-shared knowledge-file content. Meta disconnect does not delete these or set an expiry.
• Telegram links, hashed link codes, received update IDs and approval-message records. Unlink Telegram separately in Connections to remove the active link; approval history and code/update records remain.
• Ads already on Meta or content already published. Disconnect does not undo Meta ad changes or remove the Meta Pixel from published pages that use the team’s pixel.

These retained application records have no complete automatic deletion schedule. Some support change history and safe handling of uncertain writes, but we do not claim all are legally required. Email us for a wider deletion review, including memory and copied content; we will explain what can be deleted and what remains.

Retention while connected

Scheduled cleanup keeps daily performance for 37 months and inventory, budgets, activity evidence and API usage for 13 months. Superseded snapshots have a 7-day audit grace, intraday budgets a 9-day grace, and refresh requests a 7-day cleanup period. Creative records, attribution imports and pull ledgers have no age-based expiry before disconnect.

Revoking in Facebook is different

Remove the Companio app in Facebook’s Business Integrations settings to revoke access at Meta. This alone does not trigger or confirm deletion of stored Companio data. Disconnect in Companio or email us too.

CarouselForge (app.carouselforge.ai)

How to request deletion

1. Email support@companio.ai from your account email. Name your CarouselForge account and the Instagram account.
2. Say whether you want the Instagram connection data removed or a wider account deletion, including projects, publication history and insight events. For Hindsight memory deletion too, explicitly request performance summaries, notes and full conversation text across personal, project and brand-profile banks. We verify the request before acting.
3. To stop access straight away, revoke the Companio app in Facebook’s Business Integrations settings. There is no in-app CarouselForge disconnect today. Both products use the same Meta app, so revocation can affect both.

What gets deleted, and when

• A verified connection-data deletion request covers the stored Meta token and relevant connection/account details. Long-lived tokens normally last about 60 days; access ends at expiry or revocation, but that does not confirm stored-data deletion.
• Publication records and insight events remain until their project or account is deleted. Project deletion removes related publication records and assets, but not the account’s Meta connection token.
• A wider account deletion removes credentials and provider connections as well as owned projects, publication data, assets and associated memory through the account-deletion process.
• When enabled, Hindsight retains reported performance summaries and completed conversation text in personal and project banks and, when present, the active brand-profile bank. There is no automatic age-based expiry in that flow.
• Project deletion removes the project bank and project-attributed entries in personal and brand banks, but leaves unrelated memories. Brand-profile deletion removes its bank; account deletion also attempts personal-bank deletion. Unavailable memory access or failed cleanup is reported as incomplete or residual, not erased.
• If a publication is still running or its outcome is uncertain, it must reach a safe state before deletion can finish. Failed or incomplete steps need further work; we do not promise an automatic completion deadline. Support will explain the outcome and any remaining data.

What is not deleted

• Posts and first comments already published on Instagram. Remove these in Instagram itself.
• If you used the restricted design workflow, complete slide results remain in the private design worker’s separate job database and can include Meta-derived copy. These records are not linked to a project or account, so normal project and account deletion does not currently erase them. Email support@companio.ai to request removal of the saved worker results separately.
• Copies you downloaded or data other providers already received, including OpenRouter and Z.AI for the restricted creative-copy workflow, OpenAI for its design worker, and any requested image, research or visual-review providers. Backups and provider-held copies follow their own retention; we do not promise immediate erasure of these. Hindsight’s managed project, brand and account memory-deletion paths are described above.
• Account-deletion safety records and some billing/usage and terms-acceptance evidence can remain, with identifiers removed or replaced where supported. Unresolved residual data is reported rather than described as erased.
• Local browser data, including the previously-connected hint flag; clear this site’s data in your browser.

Revoking in Facebook is different

Revocation stops further authorized Meta access, but does not itself delete saved publications, insight events, Hindsight memories or other account data in CarouselForge. Email us for deletion even if you have already revoked access. Deleting only a project does not revoke the Meta connection or erase unrelated personal or brand memories.
