Look it up, or just ask us

There's a help centre now. Eleven articles covering the whole run: getting Companio to know your business, writing your offer, building a page and getting it live, selling with Shopify, making ad images, and reading your numbers.

Start here: read How to get better results from Companio first. It's the five things that actually change what you get out of this, and it points at the rest.

And if you'd rather just ask a person, the chat button in the corner still reaches us. It always will.

Your chats stay where you left them

You don't have to finish things in one sitting any more. Conversations save as you go, so you can shut the tab halfway through a job and pick it up tomorrow with the whole thing still there.

Try this: keep one chat per piece of work rather than one long-running one. Coming back to "the Black Friday email" beats scrolling through everything you've ever asked.

The five jobs

There's a short list down the left now: know your business, write the offer, build the page, make the ads, read the numbers. Together that's a campaign, end to end.

You don't tick anything off. Companio does that as you go, and anything already done takes you back to the thing that ticked it.

If you're ever stuck on what to do next, that list is the answer. No particular order required, and nothing works differently if you ignore it completely.
The boxes are Companio's, not yours. They tick as the work lands.

Point at anything and say what to change

When something on your page is off, stop describing where it is. Click the bit you mean, then say what's wrong with it. "Make this headline shorter." "Swap this photo." "This sounds stiff."

Works best one at a time. Point, fix, look at it, then point at the next thing. Asking for five changes at once gets you a page you have to re-read from the top.

Ad images by the batch, and somewhere to keep them

Ask for ad images and you get a batch to pick through instead of one at a time. They land in your gallery, where you keep the ones worth testing and toss the rest. Nothing you toss is gone for good.

Send a real photo of your product first. Companio won't invent your packaging or your logo, so without one you'll get something that looks like an idea rather than an ad you'd put money behind.

Paste a link, get that page in your brand

Next time you can't describe the page you want, go and find one that already looks right and paste the link in. You'll get that layout back in your colours, your fonts and your words.

It isn't a copy of their page. Same bones, your version.

Pick one that's structurally close to what you're selling rather than one that's just pretty. You're borrowing the shape, not the contents.

Put real buy buttons on a page

Connect your store and Companio can see your products, your prices and your discount codes. Ask for a page about something you sell and the buy button actually works: right product, right variant, right discount already on it.

Connect the store before you ask for the page, not after. And name products the way they're named in Shopify, because that's how Companio finds them.

If anything about that checkout doesn't add up when you go to publish, it stops rather than putting a broken button live. It only reads your catalogue. No orders, no customers, and it can't change a thing in your store.

See which ads to scale and which to stop

Connect your Meta account and ask what to do with your ads. Companio goes through them and sorts each one: put more money here, this needs a new hook, this one gets the click but loses them after, stop this.

Set your decision target first: what counts as a result, and what you'll pay for one. Until you do, everything sits in Still learning, because nothing can call an ad expensive until you've said what expensive means. An admin on your team sets it, once.

It only reads. It can't change a budget, pause anything or push an ad live. That part is still you, over in Meta.

Every ad, sorted into what to do about it.

Pages don't start blank any more

When you ask for a page now, you start from one of four layouts instead of a blank screen. Pick one and tell Companio what to change about it.

Choose the one closest to what you're selling, not the one that looks nicest. And once you've built one you're happy with, save it. Your next page starts from that instead, and lands closer to right first time.

It picks up your look from your website

Before you ask Companio to make anything, give it your website address. It reads your colours and your fonts off it, so the first thing it makes already looks like you instead of like a template.

Do this once, early. It's the fastest way to skip describing your brand from scratch.

It's picking up the look, and only the look. How you write still comes from the questions Companio asks you and the things you upload.
